Step 1: Accept or Decline your offer on myschools.nyc (if applicable)
Step 2: Complete Google form at https://forms.gle/vurBWnft1kPmHA2M6
Step 3: After your form is completed, you will be given access to a program called Operoo to complete online registration documents.
Step 4: Once your documents are completed and approved by the pupil accounting secretary, you will be contacted to schedule an appointment.

School Year 2025-2026 General Education Transportation School Bus Procedure
School Bus Dismissal Procedures:
Students will receive a tag identifying their route and stop information.
Students will be seated at the front of the bus.
Students will only be allowed to exit the bus at their designated stops.
Driver will mark off when each student exits the bus at his/her designated stop.
A student will not be prevented from exiting a bus at the designated stop even if an adult is not present.
An adult is encouraged to always meet students when they exit the bus.
If a student feels unsafe exiting a bus, he/she should tell the driver. Driver will then contact the dispatcher who will contact OPT for further instructions. If a parent can not be reached and the school is closed, 911 will be contacted.

to check if your child is eligible to receive bus service. Your child will not be allowed to ride the bus if this consent is not on file. A staff member will contact you letting you know if your child is approved for service and provide route information.

P.S. 45 UAU Compass: A city-funded after-school program that will enrich your child with literacy, STEM, arts and crafts, physical recreation, and homework help! This FREE program runs from school dismissal through 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. If your child is enrolled in the program, participation in all activities and attendance is mandatory. Early pick-up is not allowed and dismissal time is prompt. Registration is now open. Go to https://discoverdycd.dycdconnect.nyc/program-public, search by zip code 10310 and select program COMPASS Elementary: P.S. 45 John Tyler. Spots are extremely limited and filled on a first come, first serve basis. If the grade your child is overenrolled, your child will be placed on a waiting list. P.S. 45 UAU C.A.A.T: An after-school program that will enrich your child with literacy, STEM, arts and crafts, physical recreation, and homework help! This PAYING program runs from school dismissal through 5:45 PM, Monday through Friday. The cost for one child is $290 per month. Applications are NOW available. UAU C.A.A.T will start on Thursday, September 5, 2024.
Children’s Aid- Goodhue Center: FREE program held at the Goodhue Center located at 304 Prospect Ave, Staten Island. A school bus picks up the students from PS 45 and takes them to the program. Families will need to pick them up there by 5:30 PM. If interested in the program, please email Andre’a Vindigni at avindigni@childrensaidnyc.org to check availability.
School supply lists are now available for each grade for the 2025-2026 school year.
